EDUCATORS

Quality early childhood education is one of the most important services in a child's life. It serves as a major contributor to healthy and strong brain development, and supports development of the skills necessary to prepare children for school success. KidSquad respects and supports all early childhood educators who dedicate their professional lives to enriching the lives of our community's children.

KidSquad is a FREE service, available to any childcare center, preschool, Head Start or Pre-K program or childcare family home in Douglas or Sarpy County that accepts Title XX (federally subsidized) payment for childcare services. The reasons a program director or teacher/educator may want to refer to KidSquad include:

  • Supporting children who are struggling with challenging behaviors and may be at risk for expulsion;
  • Increasing the social/emotional teaching capacity of staff;
  • Teaching social/emotional skills (feelings awareness and/or management, problem solving skills, persistence, etc) to children from 0-5 years of age, and/or
  • Enhancing any environment that is rich with engaging activities, and supportive relationships.
